A warm welcome to our first newsletter as Heart. We’ve had an incredibly dynamic first semester and wanted to share some of our news with you. We’ve got some exciting information on our recently launched social investment funds as well as many inspiring stories with real impact from our social enterprise projects.

It is only through the actions of people like yourself that we are able to do the life changing work we do. Thank you.

Engage with Heart

We always want to hear from you so please don’t hesitate to contact us. We have many ways individuals and companies can get involved with us. These ways range from: investing in our social investment funds; donating time, money or goods; buying any of our products or services to a variety of volunteering opportunities with us.

The concept of Ubuntu describes our philosophy perfectly “umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” - a person is a person through other persons, or I am because we are. It is about accepting our interconnectedness as humanity. If it were not for the needs of society and the generosity of society, we would not be able to do the work we do.

Thank Yous

We have so many companies and individuals to be grateful for and we wish we could acknowledge everyone individually but the list could fill a book! However, we would like to make a few honourable mentions here.

A huge thank you must go to the following:

* Super Rent for supplying us with trucks and bakkies to deliver our Food Tents.

* Donations of clothing for the Heart store from Rocketfuel, Bombshell Clothing, Phoebe and Floyd designs, Kaleidoscope, Horus international and special discounted items from Cqinz Boutique, In House Fashion, Space Station and Cynray.

* Killarney Race Track, Ferrari Owners Club, Venture Forth, The Shark Lady and Sales Hire Claremont for helping make our Adrenalise adventures a reality.

We hope you enjoyed reading our newsletter and it gave you some valuable food for thought. We value your feedback so if there is anything in our newsletter you would like to comment on or any suggestions you may have,  please click here
