The Karma Lounge in Camps Bay was the first venue to come on board with Hush Hush, an events marketing company, the sponsoring co-promoter of the event to assist Heart in the first event – Heart at Karma. Heart raised funds through cover charge in return for marketing the club night for the venue. A beautiful beaded heart, thanks to Streetwires.org was given a gift to the first 50 guests as a thank you gesture from Heart.
The party took off at midnight when the pubs in Camps Bay emptied. 3 top DJs gave their time to play for Heart, namely DefbyDecibel, DJ Baptiste from New York and Steve Hypa, local Cape Town resident. A stunning display of Heart’s projects was set behind the DJ to promote their excellent work. The music was world-class which complimented the exclusive venue, known to host the rich and famous of South Africa.
Owner Andrew Lee Pratt was delighted to provide a reputable NGO the platform in which to raise funds in a unique and inviting manner. The next Party with Heart will be announced in August with several venues on board to support the venture.
