At the beginning of March, Adrenalize allowed 15 youngsters the opportunity to give back to the community. Laying down their knives in solidarity, these youngsters picked up overalls and paint-brushes in order to beautify Gympie Street once again. By participating in this community service initiative, they have each earned a ticket to an extreme event, hosted by Adrenalize in conjunction with Denzil Moses of Youth Junction Concepts.
Painting an entire section of Gympie in order to cover much of the gang-related graffiti, these chaps invested hours of their day to assure the residents that their plight is heard. Even the community got involved themselves, joining the fun and building a brighter future for themselves.
Pick & Pay joined us in alleviating much of the strain the community faces every day by donating over R5500 towards food-parcels for families in this neighborhood. We would like to thank Pick & Pay Gardens for their willingness to get involved.
Thank you to all the participants, businesses and volunteers involved in this wonderful project. Watch this space for more stories of community upliftment and adrenaline pumping activities.
