Where does the money go?

Read the following appeal from a home for children with severe learning disabilities in Worcester:

"The recent economic difficulties facing all South Africans have finally caught up with the parents of the children in our care. They find it extremely difficult to pay school fees, transport fees and nappies and have no choice but to keep their children at home. These families come from impoverished communities and are mostly single mothers caring for severely disabled children. They can not secure employment as their families are not prepared to take care of their disabled children while they are at work. We provide these special children with two meals a day as well as physiotherapy and stimulation activities which greatly improves their quality of life. When these children are kept home they do not receive the necessary therapy and their bodies deteriorate dramatically." ASD' Association Of The Sensory Disabled.
